The Diet tab at the bottom of the Health module lets you log what you eat each day by breakfast / lunch / dinner / snack. Search for a food, fill in the portion, and Vitae calculates your calories and carbs / protein / fat, then compares them against the goal you set.
Log a Meal
- Pick a meal. On the Diet page, find breakfast / lunch / dinner / snack and tap the “+” on the matching row.
- Find a food. Search the food name directly (such as “milk” or “bread”), or switch between Frequent / Favorites / Custom, and you can also browse by categories like Grains / Meat, Eggs & Dairy / Seafood / Vegetables.
- Enter the portion. After selecting a food, enter the grams or milliliters, and calories and carbs / protein / fat are converted automatically by portion; tap “Favorite” on foods you eat often to find them faster next time.
- Confirm the entry. You can select several items at once; the bottom shows “N selected · XXX kcal”, and tapping “Log” adds them to the meal.
Check Nutrition, Set Goals
- Calories consumed: the top of the page shows the total calories consumed for the day and the goal (such as “Goal 3,000”).
- Nutrition intake rings: the rings below show the proportion and grams of carbs / protein / fat, with progress bars to compare against the goal.
- Goal settings: tap “Goal Settings” in the top-right corner of the nutrition intake card to set daily targets for calories and the three macronutrients.
FAQ
What if the food library doesn’t have what I ate?
Switch to “Custom” to create your own food—you can take a photo and let AI recognize the name, portion and nutrition, or fill it in manually, and once saved you can log it just like a built-in food. See AI Photo Food Recognition + Custom Foods.
What if I logged the wrong meal or portion?
Open that entry under the corresponding meal to change the portion or delete it; after deleting, the day’s calories and nutrition are recalculated accordingly.
Do I have to search again for the few things I eat often?
No. When entering the portion, tap “Favorite”, and afterwards you can spot it at a glance in the “Favorites” tab; recently logged items also go into “Frequent”.
