What's New

What's new in every Vitae release.

v1.4.6 August 28, 2026

What’s New

  • Multi-currency tracking: each transaction takes the currency of its account, with the exchange rate locked in at the moment you record it — or overridden with the rate the transaction actually used. Every entry displays in its own currency, so spending abroad no longer means converting by hand.
  • Transfers for credit cards and loans: credit accounts can now take part in transfers — money out is recorded as a cash advance, money in as a repayment. Overpayments are supported too (a negative balance owed means credit on the account).
  • Keep only the modules you use: pick which modules to turn on the first time you launch the app and switch off the rest; you can change your mind any time under Settings → Modules. The onboarding tour has been rebuilt as well.
  • Faster food picking: the food selector is now split into All / Favorites / Custom, with your frequent items sorted by how often you log them.

Improvements & Fixes

  • Fixed the whole page being pushed off-screen when a text field takes focus on iOS 26; field heights are now locked app-wide, so there’s no more “jump” the first time you tap in.
  • Users who have already granted access no longer see a flash of the HealthKit permission screen when opening the Health overview.
  • The account picker in the ledger now shows your custom account icons.
  • Deleting the last transaction of a day in the balance timeline now takes you back automatically instead of leaving you on an empty page.
  • Exchange rates now come from our own service for more reliable updates.

v1.4.5 August 25, 2026

What’s New

  • One-tap install for the screenshot shortcut: install the receipt-scanning shortcut straight from the guide page and choose from four triggers — automatically after a screenshot, the share sheet, a widget or Siri — with an illustrated walkthrough included.
  • Icons for buy-now-pay-later brands: a new consumer-credit group brings icons for Huabei, Jiebei, JD Baitiao, WeiLiDai, Meituan Monthly Pay and Douyin Monthly Pay, so credit accounts no longer have to settle for a generic icon.
  • Transfer fees: account transfers can now record a separate fee, with the sending account settled at the amount actually debited.

Improvements & Fixes

  • Fixed the Dynamic Island freezing on a stale workout state and showing the wrong exercise when you jump around your routine.
  • Tapping a meal in the diet widget now goes straight to its logging page, without flashing the finance page and health permission screen first.

v1.4.4 August 7, 2026

Improvements & Fixes

  • Rapid taps on a workout set card are no longer misread as completing the set, and the input field stays clear of the keyboard.
  • Widgets and diet reminders now refresh against your new targets as soon as you change them.
  • Tapping a diet reminder opens the logging form for that specific meal; opening the diet page from a widget or notification no longer flashes a loading placeholder.
  • The tab bar no longer appears a beat late when returning from the diet logging page.

v1.4.3 August 2, 2026

What’s New

  • Diet reminders that pick their moment: reminders follow the meal times you set, and nutrition gaps are only announced while there’s still time to eat — once you’ve hit your targets for the day, they stay quiet.
  • Diet widgets: four new widgets — quick log, today’s intake, the three macros, and a diet streak — each tapping through to the right page. The to-do widget has been rebuilt to the new spec as well.
  • Brand icons for international institutions: bank, brokerage and card-network icons now cover many more institutions outside China, and investment accounts can pick from the full set.
  • Drag to reorder accounts: long-press and drag accounts within a group to put the ones you use most at the top.

Improvements & Fixes

  • The workout heatmap no longer freezes on cold-start data, and days with records are no longer drawn as empty cells.
  • Fixed the set-card expand animation wrapping the rest-page transition; the tab bar no longer appears a beat late when returning from the rest page.

v1.4.2 July 30, 2026

What’s New

  • AI health analysis: the Self-Knowledge module now reads your training and body data together and gives actionable training-load advice grounded in exercise science, rather than just listing numbers.
  • Exercise progress details: weight, sets and volume trends for a single exercise now get their own page, reachable directly from a notification.
  • Days joins the onboarding tour: the first-launch walkthrough now introduces the Days module too.

Improvements & Fixes

  • Fixed lunar / repeat / reminder settings being dropped on the edit page when importing days from a screenshot.
  • Editing an asset account no longer overwrites the latest balance with a stale form value.
  • Fixed AI recognition filing income entries under an expense category.
  • Workout set cards now expand with an animation and the complete button has a brief tap guard; the default rest between sets is a uniform 2 minutes instead of varying by muscle group.
  • Fixed the tab bar sitting flush against the bottom edge of the screen.

v1.4.0 July 26, 2026

What’s New

  • All-new Days module: track anniversaries, birthdays and milestones, with both countdowns and days-since at a glance. Supports lunar / solar dates, repeats, pinning, category management and search, plus list and calendar views.
  • Reminder management hub: new days default to a 9:00 AM reminder on the day itself, and the reminders page groups everything into “On” and “Off” — tap any row to open an editor and adjust how many days ahead and at what time.
  • Bulk import from screenshots: import multiple days at once from list screenshots of Days Matter and similar apps, then batch-select, recategorize or delete the results — no more typing them in one by one.
  • Days widgets: three new widget styles — Classic, List and Grid. Long-press to configure a specific day or category, and tap to jump straight to that day’s details.
  • Workout progress on your Lock Screen: once a session starts, the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show your current exercise, set progress and workout timer in real time, switching to a countdown between sets — no need to reopen the app.
  • Transfers between accounts: move money directly between any two accounts, with balances and transfer records updated on both sides, plus a dedicated transfer category and icon.

Improvements & Fixes

  • Polished the screenshot recognition flow: the original image preview is gone after picking a photo, recognition shows a centered loading state, the result action bar stays visible, and a failed scan lets you swap in another image right away.
  • Fixed the workout Lock Screen card rendering only its icon on real devices, with text and timer missing; the workout icon is now a more fitting dumbbell.
  • Fixed Days widgets opening the app without navigating to the Days module; widget gallery previews now use sample data instead of showing an empty state.
  • Several fixes across the ledger and search pages: no more flicker when opening the ledger for the first time, no more jump on the search page’s first render, and the “More filters” page no longer has content hidden behind the toolbar.
  • Onboarding is no longer covered by the “Continue” button on small screens — you can scroll through the content normally.

v1.3.1 July 12, 2026

What’s New

  • Cleaner account grouping: accounts are grouped by Savings, Investment, Credit and Prepaid, giving you a clearer view of your overall financial structure at a glance.
  • Upgraded transaction search: added summary stats, quick amount-range presets, richer time filters and smoother sorting.

Improvements & Fixes

  • Refined repayment reminders: countdown badges on credit accounts now display clearly without being squeezed.

v1.3.0 July 7, 2026

What’s New

  • Credit card / loan limit tracking: accounts now use a “balance owed + total limit” model, so you can see at a glance how much you’ve spent and how much room you have left — recording a charge past the limit now warns you before it happens.
  • Pay off credit cards / loans directly: pick a source account on the account detail page to complete a repayment transfer in one go; all views now consistently show the amount owed, and overpayment is validated.
  • Search across all bills: filter by category, date range and amount range, with flexible sorting — finding a past transaction is much faster.
  • Repayment reminders: ledger accounts can now have a due date / statement date with a custom reminder and a countdown badge.
  • What’s New popup: after updating to a new version, you’ll see a concise “What’s New” popup — no need to check the changelog page yourself.

Improvements & Fixes

  • Loan repayments no longer hardcode the “mortgage” subcategory — they’re now categorized by the loan’s actual type.
  • Fixed alignment of the source-account card on the repayment page, and a “negative zero” display bug for the remaining balance.
  • Removed the balance-history chart from credit card / loan detail pages; “Transaction history” is renamed to “Statement records” for a more focused page.
  • The ledger page now defaults to showing “All accounts” as its title; the search page’s filter arrow / clear button now use colored icons, and the active sort option is highlighted more clearly.

v1.2.0 June 27, 2026

What’s New

  • Redesigned onboarding: your first launch now includes a clear walkthrough of Finance, Health and Todo, with membership perks introduced more naturally along the way.
  • Workout summary card: finish a session and see a summary card showing exactly how much more you lifted than last time; personal records are highlighted, and you can share your progress in one tap.
  • Smoother workouts: starting a workout, finishing a set, and wrapping up now all come with satisfying animations and haptics; finishing your last set shows a fun completion effect instead of a rest countdown; you can set your own default rest time, and still nudge it ±15s mid-workout.
  • More todo colors: category colors expand from a handful of basics to 24 — organize your todos exactly how you like.
  • Easier todos: new todos remember the category you used last time, and the checkbox is bigger and easier to tap.

Improvements & Fixes

  • Ledger detail page refined: edit stays in the top-right corner, delete moves to a subtle text button at the bottom to prevent accidental taps; saving an edit now takes you straight back to the list.
  • The ledger list now refreshes automatically after quick-entry or import, so new records show up without a manual pull-to-refresh.
  • Health stats pages feel smoother — switching between time periods no longer stutters.
  • Friendlier messaging when AI recognition runs into a network hiccup.

v1.1.2 June 11, 2026

What’s New

  • All-new Stats page: a dedicated statistics tab in Finance — switch freely between weekly, monthly and yearly ranges, and page back through any past period.
  • Overview & category breakdown: expense, income and balance at a glance; the category donut switches between expense and income, and tapping a category drills down into sub-category details.
  • Trends & top transactions: daily / monthly trend charts with expense, income and balance views, plus a Top 10 ranking of single transactions so big spends stand out instantly.
  • Period summary table: expense, income and balance listed by day (by month in the yearly view), with totals and daily averages — one table for the whole period.
  • More account types: new E-Wallet, Prepaid Card and Loans types; all seven types get fresh colorful icons, and type selection moves to a handier bottom sheet.
  • Workout dashboard: Fitness gains the same weekly / monthly / yearly stats — sessions, duration, volume and sets with period-over-period comparison, plus training trends, muscle groups and a training calendar.

Improvements & Fixes

  • Chart polish: unified axes and gridlines, date labels no longer truncated, and no more color flicker when switching periods.
  • English localization pass: the amount keypad, toggle chips, calendar weekdays, purchase alerts and more are now fully localized.
  • Leaner Overview: the monthly category card moved out — category analysis now lives in the richer Stats page.

v1.1.1 June 10, 2026

Improvements & Fixes

  • Batch Confirm now uses the same category picker as the ledger page — smoother to work with.
  • Fixed batch category changes not applying to the checked items.
  • Significantly smaller download size — faster to install, lighter on storage.
  • Stability improvements and detail polish throughout.

v1.1.0 June 6, 2026

What’s New

  • Health dashboard upgrade: a redesigned dashboard for sleep and body metrics, with key health data at a glance.
  • More accurate sleep tracking: sleep is now attributed to its ‘sleep day’ instead of being split across midnight; sleep details add a yearly view and average sleep score.
  • Body metric management: new reference ranges, goal setting and reminders, paired with goal-progress charts so health trends are easier to read.
  • Rearrange health cards: long-press to drag and reorder health cards — customize the dashboard your way.
  • Account matching for bill recognition: AI now auto-matches and fills in the account when recognizing bills, and you can change the account on records in bulk.

v1.0.2 May 29, 2026

What’s New

  • Account balance sync: log an entry and the linked account balance updates automatically, so your asset data always stays accurate.
  • Customizable home screen: new module toggles let you choose which sections show on your home screen, tailored to how you use the app.
  • Drag to reorder categories: long-press to drag and reorder — built-in and custom categories are managed together.

Improvements & Fixes

  • Bookkeeping page redesign: top-level and sub-category grid icons are larger and aligned, making logging clearer and easier.
  • Small-screen layout tuning: compact-mode thresholds and spacing retuned for a roomier look on smaller iPhones.
  • Fixed several known issues and improved overall stability.

v1.0.1 May 27, 2026

What’s New

  • Bill Import: import CSV / Excel from other ledger apps, banks or your own spreadsheet in one go — auto column mapping, auto categorization and auto de-duplication. Uncertain categories can be refined with AI. Read the guide →
  • Category system upgrade: log entries with just a top-level category if you want; the category picker now has search, and frequently-used top-level categories are one tap away.
  • Haptic feedback: consistent haptics on key actions like saving an entry — toggleable in Settings.
  • Wider device support: minimum OS dropped to iOS 17 so more iPhones can run Vitae.

Improvements & Fixes

  • Polished the entry to ‘Self Know Notes’ — notes stay readable even when the feature is off.
  • Diet module now supports both camera and photo library as input.
  • Filled in copy gaps across import, categories, haptics and more — small details polished.
