FAQ
Where can I import tickets from?
- Booking screenshots: pick a screenshot and Waystub reads the train or flight number, stations, date and seat for you to check. If one screenshot shows both the outbound and return trips, both are picked up.
- Files: e-invoices and itineraries (PDF / OFD), Wallet boarding passes, and email attachments.
- Text: paste a ticket text or booking email.
- Paper tickets: take a photo with the camera.
- By hand: no screenshot? Fill in the trip yourself.
An outbound and a return ticket become a single journey.
How are photos matched? Are they uploaded?
Waystub gathers the photos and videos in your library from the days between departure and return into the journey, and Live Photos and videos play right in the app. Photos are organized on your device, stay in your library and are never uploaded.
It says I’ve used up today’s recognitions. What now?
Screenshot recognition has a daily limit per device, which resets the next day. Until then you can fill in the trip by hand, or import e-invoices or boarding passes, which don’t need cloud recognition.
How do I sync across devices?
Waystub syncs through Apple’s iCloud. Make sure your devices are signed in to the same Apple ID with iCloud turned on; you can check the sync status in the app’s Settings. iCloud sync is always free.
What does Waystub Pro include?
A one-time purchase, yours forever: footprints for every year with year-over-year comparison, the full year report, all 10 illustrated ticket papers, and share cards without the watermark. Importing, photo matching, iCloud sync and backups are always free, with no per-ticket fees.
Do I need to buy again on a new phone or for my family?
No. It works on every device signed in to the same Apple account, and you can share it with family through Family Sharing. On a new device, open the paywall and tap “Restore Purchases”.
How do I back up or delete my data?
- Under Backup in Settings you can export a JSON backup or restore from one; restoring the same backup more than once won’t create duplicates. Backups contain journey details and photo references, not the photos themselves.
- Choose “Delete All Data” in Settings to permanently remove every journey from your device and iCloud. Photos in your library are not affected.
